Getting into nursery and kindergarten is a serious challenge for children: they experience the difficulties of separating from the parents and the beauties of integrating into a new community at the same time. They are surrounded by new environment, new faces and new rules - all new things to adapt to!
We strive to make this period as smooth as possible for the children and their parents, so we get on with the proccess step by step and count on the cooperation of the family in every step on the way. We ask you, the parents, to dedicate at least two weeks to the adaptation of the child and be our partners in the process!
This is enough time for the children to get to know the daily routine of Mindenkid, experience the length of separation from the parents, and feel the time of meeting with them again predictable. During the two weeks, the teacher takes over the care of the child from parent day by day, while getting to know the child's personality, physical, mental, emotional and social needs.
During the adaption period psychological changes may occur in the child, which requires understanding and patience both at home and in the nursery/kindergarten. This is the first time of the child’s life to integrate into a community and as such it will be decisive for the rest of the toddler’s life. It is important to allow the children to process the new life situation at their own pace and give them enough time and space to adapt to it.
